New lawn? Save money by preparing and seeding your lawn yourself!

Rent everything you need from the same place! This package includes a tractor, Harley Power Rake, Brillion Seeder, 2 bags of Nutrite starter fertilizer, and 2, 50lb bags of Graham Turf General Purpose seed.

Step 1

Power Rake levelled dirt at a depth of 2".

Step 2

Power Rake 2nd time at ½" . This will remove small sticks, stones and debris from the seedbed.

Step 3

Apply your Nutrite Starter Fertilizer with a spreader.

Step 4

Remove Power Rake from tractor and hook up the Brillion Seeder. Load the seeder with Graham Turf Seed.

Step 5

With the seeder set at 100lbs per acre, plant the grass seed, going in one direction (north/south or east/west).

Step 6

When the seed bed is seeded in the one direction, do a second seeding pass in a perpendicular direction. This ensures that the seed doesn’t come up in strips as well as packing your seed bed twice.
